Greetings from the Mayor
Welcome to Rochester Hills
On behalf of our entire city staff and your 74,000 fellow residents, welcome to Rochester Hills!

Preeminent Place
Rochester Hills is a special place and I consider myself blessed to be the mayor. For the past three years, the FBI has rated Rochester Hills the safest city in Michigan. Money magazine ranked us a Top 10 place to live in America. And Rochester Hills was the only city in Michigan to be recognized in USA Today’s “Top 50 Most Livable Cities.” We agree with their assessment and take great pride in being the preeminent place to live, work and raise your family. Travel through any of our tree-lined subdivisions and you will see that people are what make our community great. Whether it’s playing catch in the front yard, or talking with neighbors in the backyard, you cannot help but be swept up in our town’s friendliness and charm.

Diverse Amenities

Rochester Hills is blessed to have a wide-ranging economic base supporting our diverse population. We have excellent shopping opportunities for every possible purchase inclination as well as some of the best dining in all of Michigan. World-class organizations like the Older Persons Commission and the Rochester Avon Recreation Authority sponsor countless activities for our residents. We are also home to Oakland University and Rochester University, which offer extensive educational, enrichment and entertainment opportunities.

Rochester Hills is perhaps best known for its parks, trails and recreational offerings. Take a swim or rent a paddle boat at Spencer Park. Catch a soccer game or use the batting cages or in Borden Park. Enjoy a bike race at Michigan’s only outdoor Velodrome in Bloomer Park. Experience the transformation taking place across town at our newest park, Innovation Hills. Hike the Paint Creek and Clinton River Trails for an “up north” feel just minutes from your home.

Express Your Thoughts

After you have experienced some of what our community has to offer, stop by and let me know what you think. We are thrilled to have you here and hope you will come to love our city as much as we do.
