Accounting
Responsibilities
The Accounting Division is a component of the Fiscal Division and is responsible for recording, maintaining, and reconciling all City financial transactions.

The Accounting Division is under the direction of the Accounting Manager, and is responsible for the following functions:
  • City audits
  • General ledger and reconciliation
  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • Water and sewer utility billing
  • Payroll
  • Pension administration
  • Capital asset records
  • Reporting to various state and federal agencies

Awards
Awards received from the Governmental Finance Officers Association:
  • For 30 consecutive years we received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reports for the city’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)
  • Popular Annual Financial Reports (PAFR) for the city’s Financial Summary Report
