A 95-gallon cart for trash and a 65-gallon cart for recycling is provided at no cost to all single-family homes. A larger recycle cart can be purchased for $65.00. Trash is picked up Monday through Thursday.
Billing is quarterly and billed in advance. Once you receive your first invoice, you can make payments and apply for discounts. Mail your payment to the P.O. Box printed on your invoice or pay online.

A 2% late fee will be applied to your account for any balance over 40 days past due.
Hazardous Waste Recycling by Appointment
Hazardous waste material, like paint, chemicals and electronics, cannot be left at curbside but can be recycled at the Southeastern Oakland County Resource Recovery Authority (SOCRRA) Drop-off Center five days a week. The Drop-off Center is located at 995 Coolidge, Troy, MI (between 14 Mile and Maple).

Household Hazardous Waste
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, SOCRRA's Recycling Drop-off Center will be accessible by appointment blocks only to drop-off any acceptable material including recyclables, use of the paper shredder, household hazardous waste, and electronics recycling. Drop-off Center hours are 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Appointments can be made via SOCRRA's website at www.socrra.org. The appointment process will ensure the health and safety of both staff and users of the Center.
There is a $10 per car fee and a Rochester Hills voucher is required for electronic recycling and household hazardous waste. Vouchers can be purchased at the Treasury desk at Rochester Hills City Hall (during normal business hours) and online.
Please note: Residents will be required to wear a mask while visiting the Drop-off Center during their scheduled appointment time. Proof of Rochester Hills residency will be verified by an attendant.
