Payment Options
The City of Rochester Hills offers a variety of payment options for paying a parking violation. 

Appealing a Parking Violation
  1. Mail the following:
    • A copy of the parking violation notice
    • A copy of your driver's license
    • A note including your daytime phone number
    • Mail to: 
      City of Rochester Hills
      Treasury Division
      1000 Rochester Hills Drive
      Rochester Hills, MI 48309  
  2. The issuing officer will reissue the civil infraction as a district court citation.
  3. You will be notified by the 52nd 3rd District Court by mail of the court date and time.
Please Note:
  • Fines increase if the violation is upheld by the court.
  • After the due date on the civil infraction, all unpaid or unsettled parking violations will be re-issued as a district court citation with additional fees and/or penalties.
 Appealing a Parking Violation: Disabled Person Parking Space
  1. Mail the following:
    • A copy of the parking violation notice
    • A copy of your valid disability parking placard
    • A note explaining your request that includes a daytime phone number
    • Mail to: City of Rochester Hills 
      Treasury Division 
      1000 Rochester Hills Drive 
      Rochester Hills, MI 48309 
  2. You will be notified of one of the following after your request is reviewed:
    1. Reduced Fine: If placard is valid, violation will be reduced from $100.00 to $40.00 for Improper Display of Placard
    2. Reissued as Court Citation:
      • The issuing officer will reissue the civil infraction as a district court citation.
      • You will be notified by the 52nd 3rd District Court by mail of the court date and time.   
Rules for Displaying Disability Parking Placard
  • Placard must be displayed on the vehicle's interior rearview mirror.
  • If no interior rearview mirror, placard must be displayed on the lower left corner of dashboard.
  • Improper display can result in a violation notice.
For convenience, we recommend purchasing a disability parking license plate for your vehicle from the Michigan Secretary of State.
