RHTV Interns get a chance to hone the production skills they have learned in class in a fast-paced, real-world environment producing a variety of communication elements for the City of Rochester Hills. These elements range from shooting raw footage of a place or event to light script writing to video editing to idea generation for City events or communications.
- Help produce video projects for City cable, website, presentations and social media
- Shoot and edit video for internal and external use
City Hall is open 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday, but most of the work our Interns do is after hours and on weekends – event coverage, lectures, parks use, etc. RHTV has no minimum (or maximum) hours requirement beyond those of the school or the instructor.
Internships run on the Intern’s semester schedule – typically September to December, January to April, and May to August – but those ranges are flexible. The position is unpaid, so we try to be as flexible as possible.
Interested students should email their resume to firstname.lastname@example.org at the city of Rochester Hills or call 2748.841.2543 for more information.
