September is a Great Time to Get Outdoors in Rochester Hills

September is a Great Time to Get Outdoors in Rochester Hills

September is almost here, and with it comes more opportunities to enjoy the outdoors through hikes, campfires, and more right here in the City of Rochester Hills. The City’s Parks & Natural Resources Department, through their Outdoor Engagement unit, will be holding several programs in the next two weeks and this coming month to get people outdoors, while offering opportunities to learn new skills along the way. We have programs for all, whether you want to enjoy a campfire and music, learn about wild edibles, or want to learn about taking care of your trees. Perhaps, you’re a mom with a little one who wants to join our Outdoor Interpreter (and mom) Lauren, along with other local moms, for what will attempt to be a relaxing, smooth, no-tears, no bug bites and no poison ivy, pre-nap walk through the Bloomer Park trails. Registration is required and space is limited, so sign up soon.

Also don’t forget to check out the rest of our fall lineup of programs. To register for any of these or our other upcoming opportunities visit our website or call the Parks & Natural Resources Department 248-656-4673.
