Historic buildings on Rochester’s Main Street are reproduced in quilt form in this wonderfully detailed exhibit. Art Quilt Guild Oakland, which has met monthly since 2012, develops periodic challenges for its members. One of those challenges was to make buildings that represent the history of downtown Rochester, Michigan, where most of them live. These quilter-artists used many techniques including photo transfer, embroidery, painting and more. Take a walk down Main Street during the holiday season!

The Calf Barn will be filled with modules that have been painstakingly built in scale and show locations near and far. A scavenger hunt through the exhibit adds to the fun! This wonderfully detailed exhibit, All Aboard! is a perfect family outing during the holiday season.

A Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus

Date: Saturday, December 1

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

This event is now SOLD OUT.

Santa and Mrs. Claus have, once again, set aside this day to visit the children of our community at the Museum! Santa loves the cookies baked in the 91 year-old electric stove in the Farmhouse. Guests will be transported from the Dairy Barn to the Farmhouse in a farm wagon with toasty, warm blankets. After visiting with Santa and sharing that Christmas list, guests enjoy Santa’s favorite cookies and apple juice, and then view our model train exhibit. Remember to bring your camera!
