The Good Roads Movement in Michigan, 1888-1926

Tuesday, November 13

The Model T is considered Michigan's most significant contribution bringing change to the world. The Model T revolutionized travel in the United States and was constructed to make car ownership affordable to average American workers. Ford built more than 15 million of the vehicles and they could reach a top speed of 45 miles per hour.

But what about the roads that they traveled?

Join historian and author Jim Craft, as he presents the history of road building and maintenance in Michigan.
