Endowment Fund

The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm is dedicated to operating, maintaining, and improving the Van Hoosen Farmhouse, the Van Hoosen Farm,1850 Red House and all related historical properties. We also preserve documents, artifacts and collections from the entire community and we promote the use of the Museum by our friends and visitors.

What does an Endowment Fund do?

The Rochester Hills Museum's Endowment Fund is established within the Community Foundation of Greater Rochester. Our endowed fund is invested and the interest can be used to provide the following:

  • Educational, cultural, and recreational programs
  • A long term funding source for this historic facility
  • Publishing historical information from our archives
  • Continual local history research
  • Technical historic preservation advice 
  • Capital improvements

Benefits

1927 Van Hoosen Dairy BarnYour gift will reduce your Michigan income tax liability by up to one-half of the amount contributed. Individual donations to the Community Foundation are entitled to a 50% direct Michigan tax credit of up to $100 for individuals and $200 for a joint return. Corporations may receive a tax credit for up to 5% of the corporation's tax liability, or $5,000, whichever is less. Your gift will be part of a permanent legacy for our community.
