Parks and Forestry

The City's parks offer diverse recreational opportu-nities for all ages and abilities. For active recreation there are: lighted ball diamonds; soccer fields; tennis, volleyball & basketball courts; 18-hole golf course; driving range; velodrome; roller hockey rinks; 7-station batting cage; 38-acre lake; playscapes; sledding hill; and biking/crosscountry skiing/hiking trails. Our wooded natural areas, trails, and Clinton River access allow picnicking, walking, fishing and nature watching. Borden Park hosts the annual Festival of the Hills and fireworks display. Our Environmental Education Center and Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm provide interpretive, educational, historical, cultural and entertaining programs, exhibits and tours.

The Rochester area is served by the Older Persons' Commission (OPC), (248) 656-1403, located at 650 Letica Drive.  The OPC offers arts & crafts, game rooms, computer room, swimming pool, meeting rooms, dance & excercise classes, gymnasium, walking track and more.
