Application Process

The application process for the 2011-2012 school year  is now CLOSED.  Appointments to the 2011-2012 Youth Council will be announced in July. Click HERE for a brochure detailing the RHGYC Selection Process.

Who is Eligible

          To be eligible for consideration for the Rochester Hills Government Youth Council, you must

           -  Reside in the City of Rochester Hills. 
           -  Be a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior in high school (2011-2012 academic year). 
           -  Submit the appropriate application packet.

How to Apply

Profile Information:  Name, address, email address, telephone number, birth date, age, school name, grade, graduation date, parent/guardian information.

Essay Questions:  Write a short essay on a separate piece of paper responding to five application questions.  Your response should be 500 words or less.

Two Letters of Recommendation:  Include two (2) letters of recommendation from adults who know you at school and your activities out of school.

Interest Statement:  Be sure to read and sign the Interest Statement and have your Parent or Legal Guardian sign the application document.
