The Youth Summit held April 26, 2008 was a great way for area teens to learn about City government - and was great fun too! RHGYC members spent all year planning this event, inviting teens from all over Michigan. Mayor Bryan Barnett and Copper Rizzo were Summit keynote speakers.

Mayor Barnett had some fun as well, as a DJ entertained the teens during lunch!

The mock council studied several very pressing issues, including traffic, deer, surveillance in schools, and more!!

RHGYC members meet and greet attendees at the Mayor's State of the City address in February 2008.

Members of the 2007-2008 Rochester Hills Government Youth Council attend their Swearing in Ceremony in August 2007.

Council Member Vern Pixley listens intently as RHGYC members plan their yearly projects.

RHGYC members prove it's not just all work and no play! Attendees to the Michigan Municipal League's Spring Conference get a chance to blow off some steam at the Conference Expo.

Mayor Bryan Barnett greets the RHGYC members participating in the Rochester Hometown Christmas Parade in December 2007.
It may have been a cold and wet day, but the smiles were warm!
