Taxes can be paid without penalty or interest through
September 16th

Property taxes collected in the City of Rochester Hills fund local schools; Oakland Community College; Oakland schools, the City and County, County Parks, the Detroit Zoo and the Art Institute. Taxes collected for the City help fund police and fire services; local roads; library services; the Older Persons Commission and Rochester Avon Recreation Authority; and the operation of the City. The summer tax bill consists of school and county taxes only.

Due Dates and Penalties
Summer 2013 Taxes Due September 16, 2013
Payable July 1, 2013 through September 16, 2013 without interest or penalty. Postmark not honored. On September 17, 2013, interest of 1% will be added to the unpaid balance and an additional 1% will be added on the first day of each month thereafter. On February 15, 2014, penalty of 3% will be added.
Winter 2013 Taxes Due February 14, 2014
Payable December 1, 2013 through February 14, 2014, without penalty. Postmark not honored. On February 15, 2014, penalty of 3% will be added.
Over Due Taxes
Beginning March 1, 2014, all unpaid taxes are considered delinquent and are payable with additional penalties to Oakland County Treasurer, 1200 N. Telegraph, Pontiac, Michigan 48341-0479. The County Treasurer's Office can be reached at 248.858.0611.
Delinquent Taxes Notice: Due to a new state mandate, tax bills will now include a notice if there are delinquent taxes at Oakland County. The notice will read:
"As of June 1, 2013 the Oakland County Treasurer shows there are delinquent prior-year taxes for this parcel. For more information, contact the Oakland County Treasurer at 248-858-0611."
