Compost from SOCRRA
What is compost?
Compost is a natural organic soil and fertilizer made from a variety of yard waste and food scraps. Compost is used in home landscaping. It improves soil structure, retains water, encourages root growth, aerates soil, releases nutrients slowly, supports beneficial organisms and earthworms, and suppresses some soil-borne diseases.

Rochester Hills is not a member of the SOCRRA communities, but residents are allowed to shovel their own compost for free from the composting site on School Road.
