The City of Rochester Hills Clerk's department keeps and provides records of all births* and deaths that occur in the city.

Acquiring a Birth Certificate
Who can apply? 
Only the persons named on a birth certificate can receive a copy of the certificate. 
How to apply:
You may apply in person at the Clerk’s office or by mail.
Application:
A Birth Certificate Application can be completed and mailed with the appropriate fees and identification as required.
Fees:
$15.00 for the first copy; $5.00 for additional copies ordered in addition to the first copy.  

* Birth certificates for births occuring in Rochester Hills prior to January 1, 1985 are kept by Oakland County and the State of Michigan only.    

Acquiring a Death Certificate
Who can apply?
Anyone can apply for a death certificate by completing the Death Certificate Application and providing the appropriate fees.
How to apply:
If you apply in person, the certificate is prepared at that time. If you apply by mail, it will take approximately two weeks from the time of receipt.
Fees:
$15.00 for the first copy; $5.00 for additional copies ordered in addition to the first copy.
