Get Married at the Museum
The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm is available for indoor and outdoor weddings. Located in historic Stony Creek Village, the 1840 Van Hoosen Farmhouse was home to five generations of the Taylor and Van Hoosen families and has been carefully preserved and furnished with antiques belonging to the families.
Indoor ceremonies can be held in the 1927 Calf Barn that has a capacity of 160 guests. This adaptively reused building is fully handicapped accessible and is located conveniently across the street from the Van Hoosen Farmhouse.
Outdoor wedding ceremonies are held in the 18-foot garden gazebo located in a maple and walnut grove along tranquil Stony Creek. Carefully maintained herb and perennial gardens are located throughout the property and make a wonderful backdrop for wedding photographs.
A private dressing room located upstairs in the 1840 Van Hoosen Farmhouse is available to the bride and bridesmaids prior to indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies.
Wedding receptions can take place at the Museum's 1927 adaptively reused Calf Barn located across the street from the Van Hoosen Farmhouse. This building has a capacity for 160 guests. You can hire your own caterer or ask the Museum staff for a suggested vendor. Alcohol is permitted on the Museum grounds but contact the Museum staff for insurance requirements.
