Covid-19 Precautions
Welcome back! As part of Michigan’s Safe Start Plan, the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm has safely reopened its historic buildings and grounds for public programs and events.

The City of Rochester Hills is closely monitoring emerging developments related to COVID-19 and is taking a range of measures to protect the safety and health of our community per the recommendation of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Michigan State Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS).

Guest and staff safety is our top priority. In order to protect our community….

We ask our guests to:
  • Wear a face covering indoors
  • Wear a mask when outdoors and unable to maintain a 6 foot distance
  • Maintain physical distancing by staying 6 feet apart from others
  • Please stay home if feeling sick or have a temperature of 100 F or higher

Museum staff will:
  • Offer ADVANCE tickets only for programs.

This ensures we follow set capacity limits and are able to maintain 6 foot distancing in interior spaces. For individual program capacities, please email or call 248-656-4663

  • Maintain a rigorous cleaning schedule in compliance with State and County Health Guidelines

Outdoor porta johns are cleaned daily and high touch points are cleaned between programs. Shared materials are kept to a minimum and sanitized between uses.
