How are the property taxes billed and when are they due?
Property taxes are billed twice a year:
Summer tax (approximately 60% for residential exempt) is due September 14
Winter tax (approx. 40% for residential exempt) is due February 14
The Summer tax bills are mailed mid-June and the Winter tax bills are mailed mid-November. If you are responsible for paying your tax bill and have not received a bill, call the City Treasury at (248) 656-4675 or

Can I have my water / sewer utility bill automatically paid from my checking or savings account and where do I get a sign-up form? What do I need to do if I change banks?
You can sign up for direct payment for your water / sewer utility bill, which will take your payment automatically out of your checking or savings account on the bill due date. If you want to sign up for automatic payment or are already signed up but are changing banks,
mail or fax this form
to us. (Remittance address and fax number are on the form.)
