City ordinance allows only three dogs per household. Therefore we will not issue more than three dog licenses to a household. Residents must apply for a kennel license to keep more than three dogs. Kennels are only allowed in the "light industrial districts" of our City.
Oakland County is also offering licenses for cats. Please Note: Unlike dog licenses, cat licenses are currently not required by City Ordinance. The fee to license all cats is a one-time charge of $7.50. A current rabies vaccination certificate must be presented when you apply for the cat license.
