Parks & Recreation Master Plan 2011-2015
The Parks, Planning and MIS Departments, through many hours of review, discussion and outreach assembled the 2011-2015 Parks & Recreation Master Plan. This 5-year planning process is required by the State of Michigan for the city to remain eligible for various recreation-related grants and helps prioritize the parks system. The Planning Commission held a public hearing on the draft master plan on March 1, 2011 and recommended its adoption by City Council. The plan was adopted by City Council on March 21, 2011 and approved by the Department of Natural Resources on April 1, 2011. A copy of the adopted plan is available for review at the Parks & Forestry Department at City Hall or you may download the plan by clicking the link below.
