The Museum Store and You

We have designed the Museum Store with you and your students in mind. You will find many items pertaining to life in rural nineteenth-century Michigan, as well as educational toys, books, old fashioned games, souvenirs, and 'penny' candy. And best of all, our prices are tailored to kid-sized budgets.

While we have always encouraged you to make it a scheduled stop during your visit, we are now offering a new option that should make your trip to our Museum easier than ever. We now offer Museum Storepre-made gift shop packages to fit every budget. Simply pre-order the gift option of your choice, and we will add the cost to your admission price. Best of all, we will have them ready for your visit so that you may distribute them at the field trip or back at your classroom!

We have four gift package options for your class. Pick the option that will work best for you, and let the Museum create them for your class.

Package #1 - $1.00 per student

  • Two Candy Sticks (flavors will vary)
  • Paddle Ball Toy
  • Museum #2 Pencil
  • Museum Color Postcard

Package #2 - $3.00 per student

  • One Rock Candy Swizzle Stick
  • Painted Wooden Top Toy
  • Stoney Creek Village Walking Tour Guide
  • Museum #2 Pencil
  • Museum Color Postcard

Package #3 - $5.00 per student

  • One Cow Tale Caramel Candy
  • One Spiral Lollipop
  • One Jacob's Ladder Toy
  • Stoney Creek Village Walking Tour Guide
  • Museum #2 Pencil
  • Museum Color Postcard

A visit to the Museum Store has always been a favorite with students. Children can bring any amount to shop at their leisure and purchase items that suit their taste and budget.

How to Order your Museum Store Package:

We recommend that you work with all the teachers in your school who will be visiting our Museum and pick one option for all classes. Please pick only one option for your entire class.

You simply need to add the cost of the package to the Museum admission cost on your field trip permission form.

Call the Museum at 248-656-4663 at least two weeks before your visit with your package order. At that time, we will need your total order count.

We will have the packages ready for you when you come to tour the Museum and we will gladly distribute them to your class at the end of your visit.
