The nominations were made, the votes were tallied, and the extraordinary women from our local community are showcased! Mothers, Daughters, and Leaders of Oakland County is now moving throughout Oakland County.Mothers Daughters & Leaders

Learn about the world-renowned surgeon from Stony Creek Village, the slave who purchased land from the founder of Pontiac, the soprano soloist who spent months performing for Holocaust survivors, and many other incredible women of Oakland County. The exhibit also presents historic women's events from a national and statewide perspective, spanning from women's suffrage to the first female governor of Michigan.

This exhibit is made possible with support from the Community Foundation of Greater Rochester, the Women's Fund of the Community Foundation of Greater Rochester, the Daimler Chrysler Art Oakland Art Fund Program, the Oakland County Arts & Culture, the Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs, Outback Steakhouse of Rochester Hills, Classic Printers, WSI, Hank's Fly Fishing, and Barbara A. Markham-Artist.
