Training
The Rochester Hills Fire Department Training Division is comprised of a Training Coordinator who works under the supervision of the Deputy Chief. The Training Coordinator oversees all departmental Fire and specialized training. The Training Division utilizes highly trained Instructors who work with neighboring departments in providing the most advanced technological training instruction for all personnel to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of the residents and visitors of this community.
 
Karl Holder - Training Coordinator
Karl began his career with the Rochester Hills Fire Department in 1986 as a Paid-On-Call Firefighter eventually rising through the ranks to become the City's Training/Safety Officer with the rank of Captain. He attended Oakland Community College where he earned his Associates Degree in Fire Science in 2005. Karl is nationally certified as an Incident Safety Officer through the Fire Department Safety Officer Association (FDSOA).
