The Rochester Hills Fire Department conducted live burn training on Wednesday March 28, 2007. Not only did the firefighters observe the behavior of how fire reacts from inception to extinguishment, but they also saw the effectiveness of positive pressure ventilation. After the fires were extinguished, the Fire Investigators from Rochester Hills Fire Department and Oakland County Sheriff Fire Investigation Unit along with their arson investigation dog had the opportunity to determine the origin and cause of the fire. Because the fires were video taped, the investigators were able to view the fires from inception once they concluded their investigation.
