CPR Class Schedule
The Rochester Hills Fire Department offers various types of Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) classes. Depending on whether you are in need of certification or not, we can put you into the appropriate class. Read on for details of the different types of classes that are offered:
American Heart Association Family and Friends CPR This is a non-certification class
The American Heart Association Family and Friends class is offered free of charge. These community classes offer both Adult and Pediatric CPR. All classes will begin promptly at 6:30 pm. Classes will consist of lecture, videos and manikin practice. The American Heart Family and Friends class teaches one-person CPR and management of complete airway obstruction for adults, children and infants. Students will receive an American Heart Association Participation card (this is not a certification class). Listed below is the 2008 Community CPR Schedule.

All classes are held in the training room at Station #1, 1111 Horizon Ct. and begin at 6:30 p.m. Anyone interested in attending these classes should call to register at 248-841-2705.
American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR This is a certification class
The American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR class is designed for the lay-person who needs certification for their job or school. The class offers one person CPR for adult, infant and child CPR along with foreign body airway obstruction. Classes will consist of lecture, videos and manikin practice. Upon successful completion of a practical skills test, students are issued a course completion document (CPR card). There is a $20.00 per person fee for residents of Rochester Hills and $30.00 for non-residents for this class. All classes are held in the training room at Station #1, 1111 Horizon Ct. and begin at 9:00 a.m. To register for class, please call 248-841-2705.
American Heart Association CPR & First Aid This is a certification class
The American Heart Association CPR and First Aid courses will provide the average lay person the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for injuries, sudden illnesses and to perform CPR until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. The class offers one person CPR for adult, infant and child CPR along with foreign body airway obstruction. Classes will consist of lecture, videos and manikin practice. Upon successful completion of a practical skills test, students are issued a course completion document (CPR card). Listed below is the 2008 American Heart Association CPR & First Aid schedule:
March 8th June 7th September 13th December 6th
