ATTENTION
Please note that routine passport service will take approximately 6 weeks. Expedited Service + Two-Way Overnight Delivery will be approximately 2 weeks. If planning a trip, please apply for your passport early. |
In 2000, the City became a Passport Acceptance Agency. Passports may be applied for in the Clerk's Office, City of Rochester Hills Offices, 1000 Rochester Hills Drive, MI 48309. Persons interested in obtaining a passport may apply in person Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Persons applying for passports must:

Complete an application form (must be signed in person at the Clerk's Office)

Provide proof of U.S. citizenship

Bring a previous U.S. passport; or
-
If born in the U.S., bring a certified copy of birth; or
-
If born abroad, a Certificate of Naturalization, Certificate of Citizenship, etc.

Bring two photographs

Photographs must be recent (taken within the last 6 months), identical, 2X2 inches, and either color or black and white; and

Must show front view, full face, on plain, light (white or off-white) background.

The Clerk's Department now offers photo service at the time of application for a fee of $10.00.

Provide proof of identity
Effective February 1, 2008 fees for passports are payable by check or money order and are as follows:
- $100 for a 10-year passport (age 16 and older).
- $85 for a 5-year passport (age 15 and younger).
Expedite Service is an additional $60.00.
Important Note: The fees listed above include a $25.00 execution fee to be paid by separate check or money order to the passport acceptance agency (in this case, the City of Rochester Hills). Your check or money order for the passport fee is made payable to the U.S. Department of State.
