Water and Sewer Billing Changes Notice
Effective January 2004, the City of Rochester Hills will begin issuing water and sewer bills on a BI-MONTHLY basis to our utility customers. Utility customers will receive a water and sewer bill every other month, or six billings per year.
The bi-monthly billing will be based on actual meter readings, as opposed to the current system of alternating monthly actual meter reads and estimated* meter reads. It has been determined that these changes will have a positive impact due to budget constraints and higher efficiency to the customers of Rochester Hills. Direct Payment Customers: An IMPORTANT REMINDER to those customers who use the Direct Payment withdrawal to pay their water and sewer bills, please be advised that your bi-monthly withdrawal will result in a larger dollar amount and customers should plan accordingly. Something to Consider: If you are concerned with the larger dollar amounts of the bi-monthly water and sewer billings, you may want to consider making extra payments between your bi-monthly billings. IMPORTANT NOTE when submitting a payment without a bill, your account number must be included to process and apply your payment to your account.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Billing in the Accounting Division at 248-656-4688. * Future estimated bills will be generated if we are unable to read your meter or due to possible equipment complications.
