The SmartZone's two universities, Oakland University and Lawrence Technological University, anchor either end of the technology corridor and supply a quality technology workforce to the SmartZone, provide vital re-training to company employees, provide the opportunity for technology transfer, maintain key collaborations with diverse-industry companies, and provide stakeholders with access to research facilities, knowledge, faculty and students.
