Automation Alley
Automation Alley is one of the leading technology clusters in the nation as evidenced by Oakland County's higher per capita income than Silicon Valley's Santa Clara and Middlesex counties.
Originally formed by Oakland County in 1997, with 44 members, the consortium has grown to encompass eight counties and now boasts more than 600 members. The consortium is a dynamic organization of leaders representing all business sectors, including academia, manufacturing, engineering, production and R & D. In the Alley, CEO's mentor entrepreneurs, develop collaborative R & D ventures with competitors and others and foster commercialization of new ideas and products.
The Alley is leading the way in defining Michigan's "next economy."
